Jada-Symone Batichon, an 18-year-old high school senior from Wheeler High School in Powder Springs, Georgia, made headlines after receiving 53 college acceptances and earning approximately $1.8 million in scholarship offers. Despite the wide range of options available to her, Batichon’s college decision came easily. When asked about her choice, she simply said, “Roll Tide,” affirming her commitment to the University of Alabama.
Her application journey was strategic. Batichon applied to 58 schools, aiming to maximize her scholarship opportunities and avoid the burden of student loan debt. “I wanted to see what kind of scholarships I could get,” she told People.com. Her decision to attend Alabama, however, wasn’t just about the money. She explained that it was one of the first campuses she visited back in ninth grade, and it left a lasting impression.
Academically, Batichon is a standout. She graduated with a 4.0 GPA and had already completed two college-level courses through a dual-enrollment program. Remarkably, she began taking high school classes while still in middle school. Her achievements extend beyond the classroom as well—Batichon was involved in student government, the National Honor Society, and cheerleading.
Reflecting on her journey and the countless hours of dedication she’s invested, she summed it up by saying, “All of it paid off.”
