$20,000 Grant to the People's Breakfast Oakland for food, PPE, shelter & more to the houseless.

People’s Breakfast Oakland (PBO) is a grassroots Black organization which serves the houseless community essential resources. Founded by Delency and Blake in 2017, the organization has fed, provided clothing, and hygiene packs to over 5000 of Oakland residents.


Since the pandemic has hit, PBO has increased their services to the community to three times a week providing food, hygiene packs, and Narcan which stops opioid overdose. In addition to this, People's Breakfast Oakland also provides clothing, and partners with local health organizations to provide basic health check ups for the houseless communities.



Food, Shelter Relief, PPE + Basic Needs

Total Grant Amount to the People's Breakfast Oakland: $20,000

  • $10,000 - Food Supplies Food for the program for about two months. Approximately 4,000 meals.

  • $5,000 - Hygiene and First Aid for Program two months. Approximately 1,200 hygiene packs. (1 per person)

  • $5,000 - Miscellaneous Operational Costs and Miscellaneous Supplies such as clothing for approximately 400 people, gas for two months for transportation, and approximately 50 tents to provide shelter relief.
